Coronavirus (COVID-19) Memo . . . 03/23/2020

SPP Pumps and SyncroFlo takes the health of our employees, customers, vendors and visitors very serious and therefore are closely monitoring reports of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) to protect their welfare.

Since March 10, 2020 no business travel has been authorized. Any customer / supplier visits have been postponed until further notice. We have many employees who will be working remotely to continue to provide our customers with the communication and support they need to understand what is happening with our business and their respective orders. We will also communicate any other relevant details as the situation progresses.

We are currently operating at full production capacity, but that can change immediately based on USA and Local State regulations. It is expected that this "force majeure" (Act of God) event will continue to stress all business activities including our supply chain and manufacturing capacity. At this point, we should expect that general projects may be delayed, especially if a State-Wide closure of business takes place. You should communicate these possible delays to your customers to set their expectations. To date, we have been making shipments as per current schedules.

We ask all our business partner to be patient during this very challenging situation and we will continue to communicate all relevant details as they become available. Please make sure you take care of your health.

Safety Precautions during Coronavirus Outbreak

We are following the direction of public health experts and government organizations, including the Center for Disease Control, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State and the World Health Organization. To keep our employees safe and informed, we are implementing the following precautions. Updates will be communicated as we they become available from GLOBAL health organizations.

Prevention Practices

The best way to prevent infection is to avoid exposure. Employees are encouraged to take the same actions to prevent coronavirus as they would the flue. The CDC recommends the following action steps to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • The use of handshakes is discouraged.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Make sure each time you enter our building that you sanitize and / or wash your hands before returning to work.
  • People who think they may have been exposed to coronavirus should contact their healthcare provider immediately.

We will continue to monitor developments as we learn more. For up-to-date information about coronavirus, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html. Please see Human Resources with any questions.

Our Parts division is well known in the industry for their understanding of timely performance. When a British Gas platform in the North Sea required spares and pump ends, the team responded in a greatly decreased delivery time, saving them millions of pounds in lost revenue.
