BACKGROUND
(FPG) Formosa Plastics Group (formerly called ‘Formosa’) is the world’s sixth largest chemical company and is located in Taiwan. FPG has production and operation locations in Taiwan, the United States Of America, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia, and has a diversified business portfolio across many different industrial sectors.
OBJECTIVE
When developing a major new production facility within their home country of Taiwan, FPG required a large number of highly reliable, large capacity firewater pumpsets to protect both their staff and new high value facility.

Pumps/pump package: 6 x 4000usgpm, BS10ET (FM/UL) horizontal split case type pump coupled to Clarke (FM/UL) 587hp diesel engines. Each package was supplied with a Tornatech (FM/UL) Nema 4X stainless steel diesel controller, fuel tank, lead acid start batteries. 6 x 8″ angle type (FM/UL) relief valve, 6 x 8″x14″ waste cone, and 2 x 10″ (FM) flowmeter.
