OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Operating in a responsible and sustainable manner is important to SPP Pumps. Whilst we run our business in line with the expectations of diverse global stakeholders, we also see corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a discipline that helps us to manage risks and maximise on the opportunities presented to us in a changing world. We take our CSR seriously across the Group as an employer, manufacturer, investor and a consumer. We are committed to understanding, monitoring and managing our social, environmental and economic impact to enable us to contribute to society’s wider goal of sustainable development. We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions and within our corporate policies.
We communicate our activities externally through our website and internally through our Group intranet, newsletter and team briefings. This raises a sense of awareness in the company as well as acting as a prompt for staff to get involved in some of the programmes.
We focus our CSR activities in the following key impact areas:
BUSINESS ETHICS
- We shall do our utmost to continuously improve our performance in the areas of energy, water, substances and resource consumption, and waste generation in order to reduce our negative impact on the environment.
- Behave with honesty and integrity in all our activities and relationships with others.
- We require our managers to abide by local and international legislation, especially regarding employment law, health and safety, human rights and the environment.
