OUR SUSTAINABILITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT MISSION STATEMENT
Like so many other companies worldwide we have fully embraced the challenges set to improve our sustainability and the impact our business has on the environment. Our journey towards net zero is firmly established and driven by a dedicated Environmental and Sustainability Department partnered with a renowned specialist consultancy – with the aim of reaching net zero targets while also providing the most sustainable pumps possible for our customers.
We are dedicated to delivering high-quality engineered products and services into global markets where our experience, expertise, and ethos of sustainability creates value for all stakeholders. This helps to protect life and improve lives.
As a market-leading manufacturer of sustainable pumps operating throughout England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland in the UK, SPP Pumps has set a target to become net-zero on or before 2050. The process of decarbonisation across our business has already begun, with many strong examples of sustainability improvements and our commitment to decarbonisation and the environment.
- All UK sites under the control of SPP Pumps are powered by 100% renewable sources of electricity.
- L.E.D lighting has been installed at our Manufacturing Centre and UK service centres.
- We are constantly reducing our operational wastes & removing the non-value added from purchasing requirements.
- We continue to improve the percentages of our waste which is recycled and the avoidance of submissions to landfill.
- We have taken steps to purchase recycled/reusable packaging.
- We are continually improving the appearance of our manufacturing sites by creating green spaces within them, including re-wilding areas where suitable and safe.
- We are making the switch to electric fleet vehicles and forklifts wherever possible.
- We measure our Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions and identify opportunities for energy reduction.

With a close working relationship formed between SPP Pumps and Inspired PLC, we have confidence as a business that we are on the right track to achieve carbon neutrality in alignment with Net Zero. This will be done by embracing improvement opportunities and initiating projects identified via this partnership focused on in-setting and off-setting our carbon emissions.
Our sustainability also continues to improve as we become a leaner and more efficient business, facilitated by our process of continuous improvement named EVOLVE – fully embraced and supported by our team
