BACKGROUND
This project is focused on providing a robust and reliable solution for handling PVC slurries in the operations of a major plastics manufacturer based in Western Europe. PVC slurries are highly demanding due to their abrasive and viscous nature, often requiring specialized pumping systems to ensure smooth and efficient handling. Given the hazardous and challenging conditions under which the manufacturer operates, the need for durable and high-performance pumps becomes critical. The goal of this project is to develop and implement pumping systems capable of withstanding the demanding environments associated with PVC slurry transport, ensuring long-term operational reliability, safety, and efficiency in these high-risk applications.
OBJECTIVE
The supply of non-clogging API610 compliant pumps, capable of processing a pumped medium containing suspended solids.
SOLUTION
The solution for meeting the demands of these applications was a series of bespoke designs featuring semi-open impellers, paired with matching suction wear plates and diffusers – 7 x bespoke design API610 OH5 Pumps:
