Special Environmental Conditions

SPP can provide pump packages whatever the environmental conditions

Changes in rules and legislation, along with exploration in more environmentally challenging parts of the world, have seen a much greater need to offer equipment and pump packages that suit these special environmental conditions. SPP's outstanding designs and engineering capabilities, huge flexibility, excellent mechanical and electrical packaging knowledge, coupled with ISO 9001 2000 certified quality systems, allow pumping solutions to be tailored to suit individual requirements.

Typical Considerations:

  • Noise limiatations
  • Fire risk
  • Hazardous area
  • Minimal installation

Enclosures

Where ambient noise levels are of concern, SPP can supply acoustic enclosures to reduce equipment noise to acceptable levels.

Enclosures can be designed to cover all or part of a package dependent upon the specific requirements of the installation/site.

Enclosures and complete modules can also be supplied AO or A60 fire rated and H60 or H120 hydrocarbon fire rated.

Hazardous Area Operation

If the pump packages are required to operate in an environment where hazardous gases may be present, SPP are able to supply equipment to meet the designated area classification (ATEX, NEC 500/505, IEC/CENELEC).

Ease of Installation

For projects where environmental conditions or location dictate that minimal on-site installation works are preferred, SPP are able to offer fully packaged skids or pump houses incorporating multiple pump sets.
