  SPP Receive ISO 14001 Accreditation

Certificate number: EMS111 Issue 1

SPP Pumps are delighted to have received the ISO 14001 accreditation from the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). SPP have received this registration for meeting quality standards for its environmental management system (EMS).

ISO 14000 is a series of standards that provide an organisation with a structure for managing its environmental activities. Within this series, ISO 14001 helps companies manage their processes and activities to both identify and control environmental impacts.

LPCB assessed and certified the management system of SPP Pumps as meeting the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 for the following services: design, manufacture and supply of pumps, pump packages and generator sets for use in construction, building services, oil and gas and water industries as well as general industry. Project management and the assembly of pump packages and generators including associated documentation. Service and provision of spare parts, repair and maintenance of pumps, valves, compressors and other allied equipment.

Commenting on the accreditation, Managing Director of SPP Pumps, Owen Shevlin, says “It is becoming increasingly important for companies to show that they operate in an environmentally responsible manner. SPP have worked hard over the last few years to develop new initiatives to minimise impact on the environment, both in our manufacturing processes, our general business activities and with a focus on high efficiency products. We are therefore very pleased to have received the ISO 14001 accreditation”.
