Prestigious contract wins for SPP Pumps’ Fire Division

The Fire Division of SPP Pumps has announced contract wins for another two prestige projects, this time in Indonesia. Fire protection pumpsets built at SPP’s US production facility in Atlanta will be installed at the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Reserve hotel resort in Bali and the new Suzuki factory in Jakarta.

Opening in late 2014, the latest Ritz-Carlton Reserve’s stunning location at Ubud is in the spiritual and cultural heart of Bali – ‘the island of a thousand temples’. Famous for its arts and crafts, as well as its monasteries and temples, Uhud will provide guests with a secluded retreat in the gentle hills along the Ayung River, with views of Bali’s traditional terraced paddy fields.

The property is close to the village temple and its architecture is inspired by the unique surrounding environment. Its 60 intimate villas and suites will showcase indigenous Balinese architectural features and local art, adding to the resort’s rare and powerful sense of place.

The order from the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, secured by SPP Asia’s Indonesian representative PT Multi Sindomulya, is for a package of electric and diesel fire pumps.

PT Multi Sindomulya has also won the contract to supply fire pumps for Indonesia’s new Suzuki facility. Suzuki Motor Corporation, which first imported cars into the Indonesian market in 1970, manufactures cars for the local market through a joint venture with the IndoMobil Group. PT IndoMobil Suzuki International has invested $800 million in building the factory to produce models like the Suzuki Grand Vitara and Suzuki Neo Baleno.

SPP is committed to providing quality solutions where it really matters, and this is critical in the fire protection sector. Previous high-profile contract wins for SPP’s Fire Division have included those for the Shard in London and the Marmaray Tunnel project in Turkey. SPP was the first company to achieve fire pump approval and listing by the internationally recognised Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). It has more pumps with LPCB approval than any other manufacturer and its products also meet all other major international standards.

The range includes single and multiple package sets, with electric motor or engine driven pumps in a variety of configurations. SPP can also provide prepackaged pump houses containing all of the necessary equipment for any fire protection application.
